ABOUT INSURE MY FOOD

InsureMyFood.com first began as a wild idea of Joel’s to serve mobile food vendors.  The Paprocki Insurance Agency was founded in 2004 but when a client’s son was opening a food trailer in 2012, Joel started to realize how tough it is for mobile food vendors to get proper insurance coverage.  At the time, his native Austin was experiencing a boom in food trailers and food trucks and he wanted to do his small part to help the community and see it thrive.

Working together with insurance companies and underwriters has resulted in offering exclusive insurance programs specifically addressing the unique needs of food vendors.

The goal of our agency is to know and understand the mobile food industry better than any other insurance agency in the country. By knowing the challenges our customers face and being experts at the insurance products we sell, we can partner with our customer to not “sell a policy” but rather work as a trusted partner to navigate the insurance program that fits their needs and budget.

We believe our dedication to exceeding customers expectations has set us apart in the industry.  We send certificates of insurance 7 days a week, support our food community through giving back, and offer prompt and accurate assistance with questions. In fact, referrals from our current customers have catapulted our success in growing from a local provider to growing to the largest insurance agency in the country for food trucks and food trailers.

Joel Paprocki

Joel is a self-proclaimed (vegetarian) foodie that has spent years learning and understanding the ins and outs of the mobile food business, so starting Insure My Food made sense to him!  He’s a passionate supporter of the eat local food movement and a founding member of the local Austin Food Trailer Chamber.  Taking what he learned in Austin, he now shares what he knows with food vendors across the country.

Joel’s entrepreneurial spirit keeps him busy working around the clock, but when he is not helping his clients, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing hockey, visiting food trucks and craft breweries. Cheers!

Jamie Gradoville

Jamie started as Joel’s assistant before quickly morphing into the very official title of Happiness Hero!  Her main role is to make sure clients have their documents and get questions answered in a timely fashion.  She also manages the IMF website, social media channels and marketing initiatives. She does a little bit of everything from 1,700 miles away in Pennsylvania! Fun/sad fact: Jamie has never met any of the IMF team in person.  

When she’s not out hunting down her favorite food truck (hello Sweet Aloha!), you can find her wrangling her two tiny humans, at a yoga class, volunteering or starting house projects she’ll probably never finish.

Melanie Wolters

Melanie is the Chief of Shenanigans. Joel often wonders why he keeps her around because she literally won’t stop talking or asking questions! She can be found wandering the halls looking for people to interact with, so give her a call, she is looking forward to hearing from you! She is the mother of the best two children in the universe, bar none. Also OKC Thunder’s #1 fan.

She’s licensed in property and casualty but specializes in anything that needs to get done quickly and accurately, with a splash of humor and a dollop of kindness. She loves helping small business owners realize their dreams and is happy to be along for the ride.

Joe Paprocki

Joe is a retired business executive from a Fortune 500 company. He began helping his son Joel with this business about 3 years ago. Although his 4 grandchildren call him “Pappy”, he is known as the “COI Wizard” around the IMF team because he seemingly cranks out certificates of insurance 24/7. Joe has been known to create COI’s at the shopping mall, grocery store, the doctor’s office and other unknown places.

Joe is passionate about customer service and he’s thrilled to see that Joel, Melanie and Jamie share that passion. “Although we have very competitive pricing, what differentiates us the most is our customer service and our industry knowledge and experience.”

When he’s not performing his COI wizardry, Joe enjoys hanging out with his family, traveling, walking and fishing.
